Vitamin B5, CAS NO. is: 137-08-6, also known as pantothenic acid, is a water-soluble vitamin. It is one of the essential vitamins for the human body. It is almost ubiquitous in food, such as animal offal, beef, pork, unrefined cereals, beans, royal jelly, mushrooms, green leafy vegetables. The form of pantothenate used as a additive is usually D-calcium pantothenate, because its good chemical stability and product shelf life is longer than sodium pantothenate and free pantothenate.
Vitamin B5 is an important vitamin for the human body. It can maintain the normal metabolism of the human body, improve the health of the skin and mucous membranes and maintain the normal nervous system. Because almost all foods contain pantothenic acid, pantothenic acid deficiency in humans is very rare. Therefore, vitamin b5 does not have wide application in medicine like other vitamins.
Food grade: Vitamin B5 can be used as a color development aid in the food industry, making meat products better colored and of better quality. Vitamin B5 can be used as a nutritional fortifier in bread, pastries, dairy products, etc.
Feed grade: Vitamin B5 can be used as a vitamin additive in the feed of poultry, pigs, young ruminants, fish, etc.
Cosmetic grade: Vitamin B5 is used in cosmetics to protect and improve rough skin.
