Microcrystalline Cellulose
Microcrystalline cellulose, CAS NO. is: 9004-34-6, is the product of natural cellulose after acid hydrolys is to the ultimate degree of polymerization. It is white or nearly white in color, odorless and tasteless. It has low density, high modulus, and is renewable, degradable, wide source and other advantages.
Applications:
MCC is commonly used as an adsorbent, suspending agent, diluent, and disintegrant. It is widely used as a diluent and binding agent for oral tablets and capsules in pharmaceutical preparations. It also has certain lubrication and disintegration effects. For example, MCC PH 101 has good fluidity and strong compressibility, making it suitable for tableting. Microcrystalline cellulose PH102 has high whiteness and small particle size, and is suitable for mixing fine-grained drugs.
In the food industry, microcrystalline cellulose, as an edible fiber and an ideal health food additive, can maintain the stability of emulsions and foams, maintain high temperature stability, and improve the stability of liquids. It is used in dairy products, frozen foods, and meat, etc.
MCC powder can be used as an ingredient in the manufacture of a variety of cosmetics, skin treatment and care products, and cleaning detergents.
Microcrystalline cellulose powder is also used as thin layer chromatography and column chromatography filler, a vehicle for dyes and pigments, a reinforced filler coating for thermosetting resins and thermosetting laminates.
